SEOUL, May 13 (Yonhap) — Marvel Studio’s superhero movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness(Doctor Strange 2)” will once again rule this weekend’s box office.

According to Korean Film Council on Friday, “Doctor Strange 2" attracted 112,000 viewers on May 12, the previous day, recording a cumulative audience of 4,067,000 since its release on the 4th.

"Doctor Strange 2" still attracts audiences in the second week of its release, cruising toward the final score of 5.44 million people in the first movie "Doctor Strange."

Various new films have been released, but they are unable to exert themselves due to the momentum of Hollywood masterpieces. The sales share of "Doctor Strange 2" reached 81.5% as of the previous day.

“Operation Mincemeat,” a war intelligence film starring Colin Firth, started in second place but had only 4,000 viewers on the 12th. The comedy "Piggy Back" starring Jung Joon-ho (4th place) and the horror "Umma" (8th place) of Korean actor Sandra Oh also began to welcome audiences.

As of the morning of today, "Doctor Strange 2" is still the top reservation rate with 64.2%. "The Roundup" starring Ma Dong-seok, which will be released next week, is ranked second with 22.6%.
