Song Joong-ki to return to small screen with a new role next year

SEOUL, July 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actors Song Joong-ki and Lee Sung-min will appear in the drama "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate Family (tentative title)" which will air next year, according to JTBC on Tuesday.

This fantasy drama about Yoon Hyun-woo (Song Joong-ki), a secretary who manages risk owners of the 'chaebol' or conglomerate owners' families to living as the family's youngest son, Jin Do-joon, and starting a new life. The drama is based on a web novel with the same title.

Yoon Hyun-woo, played by Song Joong-ki, is falsely accused after being loyal to the 'chaebol' family and is left abandoned. However, once he becomes Jin Do-joon, Yoon tries to take advantage of the future he is able to foresee.

Lee Sung-min plays the role of Jin Yang-cheol, the head of the conglomerate with an insatiable desire for victory, money and a cold personality.

The screenplay was written by Kim Tae-hee, author of "Designated Survivor: 60 Days," "Beautiful Mind," and "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," and directed by Jung Dae-yoon, producer of "W," "She Was Pretty" and "I'm Not a Robot."
