SEOUL, May 12 (Yonhap) -- "It's okay to be slow, and it's okay to sit at the end, not at the front, right? You can see everything in front of you. I corrected the lyrics to give you a message that you don't have to hurry."

Singer Jeong Se-woon said in a showcase to celebrate the release of his fifth mini-album "Where is my Garden!" held in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 11th, "I wrote this album because I thought I needed a place to rest comfortably without thinking,” adding, “I want to listen to this album and gain strength and energy whenever I want to rest in my busy and difficult daily life."

As he explained, he captured various forms of consolation to the youth in the background of a space called a "garden" that heals reality.

The album includes six songs, including the title song "Roller Coaster," "10 Minutes," a combination of dreamy guitar sounds and powerful beats, "Book," a track that thinks about one person, pop genre song "Nerdy," and "Pull Me Down," in which Jeong played his saxophone.

Jeong showed off his appearance as a singer-songwriter by composing and producing all the songs on the album.

The title song "Roller Coaster" is an exciting funky-style song featuring Jeong's sweet high voice.

It contains a realistic comfort message to the youth of this era, comparing the emotions felt on the roller coaster to the hard reality. Famous lyricist Kim Ea-na wrote the lyrics.

Jeong said, "Happy, sad, good, and bad things happen like a roller coaster in life, and here's a message to not get stressed out but rather feel excitement instead of fear," adding, "Let's enjoy wherever we are, whether we are in a high or low place.”

The keyword "comfort" goes through the entire album besides the title song.

Regarding the track "10 minutes," he said, "Isn't there something you want to change?" and added, "But even if you try to get out of there, it doesn't go your way and it repeats. It is a song that encourages us to think about it for 10 minutes and begin a new path."

Jeong appeared in season 2 of Mnet's audition program "Produce 101" in 2017 and made his name known for his outstanding dance and singing skills, and made his official debut with his first mini-album in August of the same year.

When asked how he defines himself, he said, "It's hard for me to define myself," but added, "If anyone asks me like this, I want to say that I'm a singer like a garden where I can relax."

"I think the path of a singer-songwriter and Idol is too special, and I'm not ashamed to dance," he said adding, "I feel better because I can be shameless while enjoying it."

"The topic of this album is comfort, but I also wanted to say that it's not okay to not be okay. That's the kind of keyword that's naturally included in the album."
