SEOUL, May 9 (Yonhap) – K-pop boy group GOT7, which split up after leaving the agency JYP Entertainment last year, will return as a whole group.

According to the group’s official social media page and Warner Music Korea on May 9, GOT7 will release a new mini album “GOT7” on May 23 at 6 p.m.

It is the group’s first album in about a year and three months since the digital single “Encore,” which was dropped in February, 2021.

According to the actual album release, it is in about a year and six months since the fourth full album “Breath of Love : Last Piece,” released in November, 2020.

GOT7 said regarding the new album, “It is an album for people who have waited for GOT7 as well as everyone who stays with us,” adding, “It is the beginning of our fresh start and it is the album that best represents GOT7.”

GOT7, a 7-member boy group debuted in January, 2014, has drawn attention at home and abroad by releasing various songs, including “Stop Stop It,” “Just right,” “If You Do,” “Hard Carry,” and “You Calling My Name.”

When the contract was expired in January, 2021, although the members decided not to renew the contract and looked for the new agency, they strongly expressed their ambition to continue their group performances by saying, “There is no team disbandment.”
