SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- K-pop super band BTS will be celebrating its 8th debut anniversary with Army, the group's powerful global fan base, through an online fan meeting called "BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo" (hereinafter referred to as "SoWoozoo") on the 13th and 14th, announced HYBE on Friday.

"Muster" refers to a large fan meeting held by BTS with Army. It is has been two years since BTS has opened a fan meeting for its fan base.

The performance will mark the finale of "BTS Festa," an event in which BTS presents various contents to fans in early June every year in time for the group's debut date, June 13.

Although "Mikrokosmos" is streamed online, the performances are not only held indoors but the members proceed to an outdoor stage as big as ones used in a festival.

HYBE explained, "The point is to convey the lively atmosphere unique to a festival to fans beyond the screen and provide a vivid sense of realism that unfold in front of their eyes."

Rather than using state-of-the-art technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR), which were implemented at BTS' online concert last October, HYBE explained that the focus was on allowing fans to feel as if they were present with BTS at the concert hall.

In addition, "ARMY on Air," which is an event that allows fans enjoying the performance to be shown through the LED screens on site, and "ARMY in Echo," where voices recorded by fans in advance are played, will be held to make everyone feel like they're together.

"We have a special performance prepared only for our fans, which BTS have never shown before," HYBE added.
