SEOUL, July 27 (Yonhap) -- JYP Entertainment (JYP) has updated a pre-purchase of about 60 thousand debut albums (limited edition) of its new girl band to be revealed on the next February.

It is reported that the pre-order of the new girl band’s debut single (real limited edition) reached 61 thousand and 667 during the last 16~25th on music sites in and out of the country, according to JYP on the 27th.

Especially this pre-order sales became an issue by its unusual marketing method; ‘Blind Package’.

This method is to take orders in prior without revealing any information about the new group, not even about the members, music and so on. The consumers decided their purchase only knowing that this group is ‘JYP’s new girl-group’ under the slogan “GRAB YOUR FUTURE”.

The package, consisted of limited edition-CD, photo book, photo card, poster, premium membership card, random polaroid and so on, will be sent to the buyers on the moment of the group’s debut which is the next February.

“This is a reflection of the explosive anticipation on the ‘K-pop’s next symbolic girl-group’”, remarked JYP about the purchase record.

JYP is called ‘The Master of Girl-Groups’ for consecutively producing hit girl bands such as Wonder Girls, Miss A, Twice and ITZY.

The girl band in issue is to be presented by JYP’s newly established artist division 4.

The new division is supervised by the first female executive director since the start of the entertainment, with staff who cast and trained Sunmi of Wonder Girls, 2PM’s Nichkhun, and Jeong-yeon, Sana, Ji-hyo, Tzuyu of Twice
