SEOUL, June 23 (Yonhap) – According to Hyundai Card on the 23th, pop star Billie Eilish will hold a concert “Hyundai Card Super Concert 26 Billie Eilish” at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea, at 8 p.m. on August 15, Korea’s Independence Day.

After her debut in 2015, Billie Eilish has gotten rave reviews, also called as “Monster Rookie” through trendy sounds of music and extraordinary performances.

Billie Eilish presented a remarkable performance through her first full length album released in 2019, winning five awards at the 62th “Grammy Awards” including four major categories (General Fields) such as “Best New Artist,” “Record of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and “Album of the Year.”

The concert “Hyundai Card Super Concert 26 Billie Eilish” was successfully decided to be held in a form of a world tour “Happier than Ever,” the title of Billie’s second full length album released on last May. In this concert, Billie Eilish will show a colorful stage filled with track songs of the album and existing songs.

Billie Eilish planned on concert in Korea in last 2020, but the scheduled was postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Since she has a history of selling out all the tickets of a world tour started on February this year in U.S., a fierce ticket reservation competition is also expected for the concert to be held in Korea.

Hyundai Card explained, “Billie Eilish is evaluated as an artist who both holds popularity and musicality in her music,” adding, “Songs she released achieved an astonishing record of more than 73 billion streams in music streaming sites all over the world.”

Also, Billie Eilish will partly donate the ticket sales revenue of this concert to an environment organization “REVERB.” A dollar is donated for each ticket. The REVERB will use the donations in activities to tackle climate change, such as reducing greenhouse gases.

This concert is also a Hyundai Card Super Concert which is held for the first time in 2 years and 7 months after a concert of British rock band Queen, held in January of 2020.

The ticket reservation will open at Interpark and YES24. The pre-order of tickets for Hyundai Card holders will start at noon of the upcoming 5th, and general reservation will start at noon of the next 6th.
