SEOUL, May 27 (Yonhap) -- Actress and singer IU drops out of Director Han Jae-rim’s first drama “Money Game” and Chun Woo-hee will join the cast.

The production company STUDIO N said on Friday, “Actress Chun Woo-hee will be the final member of the ‘Money Game’ cast and the filming will begin by mid-June.”

According to the production company, IU left the series because the production schedule and her schedule did not match.

The upcoming drama tells the story of eight participants repeatedly cooperating and antagonizing in an extreme setting where social infrastructure is cut off and the game ends when a death occurs.

Other than Chun, the show will star Ryu Jun-yeol, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-jun, and Bae Seung-woo.

The series will consist of 8 episodes and the OTT platform for which the drama will be serviced has not yet been confirmed.
