BUSAN, Jan. 15 (Yonhap) -- Busan International Short Film Festival 2022 will be held from Apr. 27 to May. 2, with the theme of “Beyond Films” (translated).

The film festival plans to focus on introducing experimental short films and emphasize that short films should be a place of experiments at a time when innovative film production is accelerating due to COVID-19.

BISFF aims to promote the selected works in Korean competition together with invited films and will prepare various events for people to participate in.

The Korean competition section’s regular deadline will be until Jan. 20.

THE BISFF became the first qualifying festival in Korea for both the Premios Goya and the Canadian Screen Awards, hosted by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, respectively.

The film festival also achieved the recognition of qualifying for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

The BISFF YouTube Channel has the most subscribers among international film festivals with 360,000 viewers.
