SEOUL, Nov. 25 (Yonhap) -- A number of K-pop acts, including popular girl groups ITZY, Brave Girls, and aespa, will take the stage at the K-pop industry's biggest annual year-end music awards show.

CJ ENM unveiled the lineup of artists scheduled to appear at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), which will take place in person at CJ ENM Content World in Paju on Dec. 11, on Thursday.

This year's MAMA will feature rookie group aespa, who have released successive hits such as "Black Mamba," "Next Level," and "Savage," as well as boy group ATEEZ, known for its sharp group performance, and Brave Girls, a girl group that shot to surprise stardom with its 2017 song "Rollin."

Enhypen, which established itself from a rising K-pop rookie boy band to a "million-seller" through its first full-length album, ITZY, which recently reached 100 million views for its latest title track "Loco," and Japanese boy groups INI as well as JO1 will also attend MAMA.

Kep1er, a girl group formed through Mnet's reality audition TV show "Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga," will also join the awards show before its official debut.

The representative fourth generation K-pop boy bands, including NCT 127 and NCT Dream, the subunits of boy band brand NCT, Stray Kids, and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) have also confirmed to appear on the show. Stray Kids and TXT are also preparing a performance to showcase on stage.

In addition, Wanna One, a project boy group created through "Produce 101," and eight dance teams from Mnet's dance contest program, "Street Woman Fighter," will attend. As a special guest for MAMA, leading British pop star Ed Sheeran will showcase a special performance online.

CJ ENM is also coordinating its schedule with other artists and plans to announce additional K-pop groups when the decision is confirmed.
