SEOUL, May 18 (Yonhap) -- “The Roundup” starring Ma Dong-seok has recorded the highest presales since the 2019 film “Parasite.”

“The Roundup” recorded over 313,000 presold tickets as of 8 a.m. today, the day of its release, according to data from the Korean Film Council, on Wednesday,

The distributor ABO Entertainment explained that “The Roundup” set the highest presales among Korean films released in the past three years after “Parasite,” which recorded more than 505,000 copies on the morning of its release date in May 2019.

The movie is ranked fourth in the presales in the history of Korean movies.

The most presales record is held by "Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days" (646,000 copies), which was released in August 2018.
