SEOUL, July 20 (Yonhap) -- Trot singer Kim Ho-joong (30) is currently under police investigation after getting involved in a dispute with construction company officials.

The Gangnam Police Station located in Seoul received a report that Kim and two men were picking a fight in front of Kim's house in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at 10:27 p.m. on Monday, according to the police on Tuesday.

The two men, who were associated to a construction company, visited Kim's villa to claim the right to keep possession of the particular house. However, Kim, who was returning to his home at that time reportedly fought with the two men, saying he had lived in his house for a generation.

"Kim had already returned home when the police arrived at the scene," the police said. "We will soon investigate Kim and the construction company officials for assault."

The trot singer's agency, Think Entertainment, released an official statement, saying, "There seems to have been a quarrel due to Kim's misunderstanding. There were no assaults made from both parties."

"After the police came, the fight had ended with both sides reconciling with each other. We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused," Think Entertainment added.
