'BTS Jimin photo zone' to be made in Jeju

JEJU, Jan. 11 (Yonhap) – The photo zone certification event for Jeju attractions utilizing K-pop superband BTS will be held.

Jeju Tourism Organization will promote “BTS Jimin Photo Zone Certification Event” through the website of Visit Jeju(www.visitjeju).net).

BTS member Jimin drew big attention when he posted pictures of his trip to Jeju, including Nuwemaru Street, Snoopy Garden, and Sagye Sulkumbadang, on his social media page in December, 2021.

There has been an interest among domestic and foreign fans in tourist attractions that Jimin visited in Jeju Island, and they are actually visiting Jeju to take the same photo as Jimin to post it on their social media pages.

Jeju Tourism Organization newly created the "BTS Jimin Photo Zone" on Nuwemaru Street in Yeon-dong, Jeju-si.

In order to participate in the event, you can visit the photo zone and post the picture taken on the Visit Jeju(www.visitjeju.net) website.

Among the entries, 200 people will be given a small gift certificate, and the results of the prize will be announced through Visit Jeju.

The organization is planning to introduce the place and surrounding tourism contents, where BTS’ Jimin visited, as their theme contents through the Visit Jeju website.

Kang Young-hwan, the head of the integrated digital platform group of Jeju Tourism Organization, said, "There has been a new perspective and positive image of Jeju for MZ generation thanks to the global star's visit to Jeju,” adding, “Through this opportunity, we will expand online marketing so that young people can continue to have interests in Jeju attractions."
