SEOUL, Dec. 7 (Yonhap) -- Boy group Seventeen has been named as December MTV PUSH Artist, their management agency Pledis Entertainment announced Tuesday.

“MTV PUSH” is a campaign naming an artist every month to spotlight their interviews, performances and music videos through TV and digital channels.

Seventeen has become the first K-pop artist to be selected for the campaign. Earlier global pop stars such as The Kid LAROI, Olivia Rodrigo and Remi Wolf were pushed by MTV as well.

The band appeared on America’s famous TV programs such as CBS “The Late Late Show with James Corden Show,” NBC “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and MTV “Fresh Out Live” this year and impressed the local watchers.

The 13-piece band will release their special single “あいのちから” (Power of Love) in Japan on Dec. 8.
