SEOUL, May 9 (Yonhap) -- Samsung C&T Corporation Resort Group announced on the 9th that it will be holding a rose festival in the outdoor rose garden from the 13th to the 12th of next month.

Everland Rose Festival, which is the first flower festival in Korea held in 1985, celebrated its 37th anniversary this year.

In the 20,000㎡ rose garden, one will be able to enjoy 3 million roses of 720 varieties from all around the world, including 24 varieties that are developed from Everland and roses from Port Sunlight (UK), and Naema (France).

This year's event will provide a variety of "satisfaction with the five senses" content that can be seen, heard, tasted and enjoyed.

At the event site, unique photo spots including hanging flowerpots of roses, hot air balloons, flower cars, and flower phone booths will also be prepared.

Additionally, in the rose scent zone, one will be able to experience the scent of two kinds of Everose developed by Everland, including Tete de Blle (fresh rose scent) and Lemon Bubble (sweet lemon scent).

A new rose experience program will be held with the concept of a flower art market.

Along with The Botanical Artist Society of Korea, about 40 rose Botanical Art which depicts the characteristics of plants will be exhibited in the rose garden, and Botanical Art one-day experience classes will also be arranged every Friday and Saturday.

During the Rose Festival, performances of a two-member acoustic band, BTS' multimedia fireworks show with the song "Over the Universe," and a music lighting show by an idol group from HYBE will be screened.

A "Spring on Spoon" food festival where one will be able to taste 33 kinds of special menus from all over the country in an outdoor garden is also held.

In particular, at the beginning of next month, when the blooming of roses is at its peak, the Rose Garden will operate a flea market where one will be able to buy and sell flower-themed goods in cooperation with Sweet Spot, the largest pop-up store platform in Korea.

In the flea market that will be held from the 1st till the 12th of next month, 25 sellers from living, fashion, food, and miscellaneous goods will participate and present various goods with the theme of roses and flowers.
