SEOUL, May 13 (Yonhap) -- The opening period of Cheong Wa Dae, which was open to the public on the 10th, has been extended by 20 days.

The presidential office announced on the 12th that the opening period of Cheong Wa Dae, which initially has been scheduled to be opened only until the 22nd, has been extended until June 11th and that people will be able to apply for the visit.

Applications to visit Cheong Wa Dae after the 22nd will be available from 12 p.m. on the same day. After accessing the website of Cheong Wa Dae from a smart phone, one will need to select one of Naver, KakaoTalk or Toss to apply. Applying through the computer with Naver is also available.

After selecting among individual (1-4 people), group (30-50 people), seniors over 65 and the disabled (1-4 people), enter the desired date and time. Families with multiple children will be able to come with more than 5 people if they bring proof of family relationship.

The registration closes 9 days before the visits, and a message will be sent to those who got the chance through the "National Secretary" 8 days ahead.

As it was before, the tour is held every two hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In 2 hours, it will be able to handle 6,500 people, and the maximum number of visitors per day is 39,000.

However, on the 22nd, when the "Open Concert" is held, one will be able to reserve between at 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. through Naver and Toss. Applications for this open concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m. can be made through the website of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism until 6 p.m. on the 13th.
