SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Yonhap) — Coupang Play, an online video service hosted by South Korean e-commerce Coupang, announced to release a new drama in November titled “One Ordinary Day,” starring actors Kim Soo-hyun and Cha Seung-won, as its first original drama.

This eight-part crime drama depicts the fierce survival of a college student who becomes a murder suspect overnight and a third-class lawyer who does his best to uncover the truth.

Actor Kim Soo-hyun plays Kim Hyun-soo, who becomes a murder suspect, and Cha Seung-won plays the only lawyer who reaches out to Kim Hyun-soo.

Producer Lee Myung-woo, who showed sensuous directing skills through dramas "The Fiery Priest" and "Punch," was in charge of directing.

Coupang Play also released the drama’s first poster on Thursday. The poster displays an intense atmosphere by capturing a cautious-looking lawyer (Cha Seung-won) reaching out to the helpless Kim Hyun-soo (Kim Soo-hyun).

“The sharp directing cut challenges the contradiction of the judicial criminal system,” said the production team of “One Ordinary Day.” “This drama is a must-see amid this chaotic era where people are prone to thinks of one's convenience and safety before justice."
