SEOUL, Sep. 15 (Yonhap) -- 111 teams are to participate in the “Tomorrow National Singer” (translated), a global K-pop audition, according to TV Chosun Wednesday. The broadcaster revealed the participants’ profile photos [http://broadcast.tvchosun.com/broadcast/program/2/C202100009/bbs/9419/C202100009_13/list.cstv].

Anyone who loves singing regardless of age, genre, nationality and gender can participate in this large-scale audition. Whether TV Chosun can make another hit, after having succeeded with Ms. and Mr. Trot series, is an issue.

The participants’ ages vary from 7 to 55 and their jobs are different as well including a car salesman, a construction site staff, printer fixer, deliveryman for a delivery app, Dak-galbi restaurant’s part time worker, fire fighter and doctor.

Also, SNS stars and singers with fandoms after having appeared in another broadcaster’s K-pop audition program will compete as well.

The prize money is up to 300 million won.

“We will move the hearts of the citizens through the ‘citizens’ performances, please wait for our upcoming program,” said the producers.

The audition will air in October.
