SEOUL, Oct. 7 (Yonhap) -- The Jeonju Bibimbap Festival, a representative food festival of Jeonju, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy in Jelllo Province, will take place.

“2021 Jeonju Bibimbap Festival” will be held for 4 weeks from the 9th to the 31st at the Jeonju Hanok Village, according to Jeonju City Thursday.

Unlike the previous, this year’s festival will be carried out weekly.

Every week various programs will be provided on weekends in different themes.

In its first week, ‘Bibim Week,’ which was selected as ‘Couple’s Day,’ couples will be invited to a restaurant to enjoy the chef’s course meal.

For ‘Wife’s Day’ in the second week, ‘Vitamin Week,’ a healthy diet allowing us to enjoy food free of any concerns about weight will be introduced.

For ‘Husband’s Day’ in the third week, ‘Protein Week,’ a meat feast is prepared and in its fourth ‘World Week,’ participants can enjoy Eastern and Western tastes and cultures.

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 infection, the upcoming festival will be open to a small group of those who have made reservations in advance.
