SEOUL, June 20 (Yonhap) --“Art Fair Daegu 2022,” which will be a place of exchange between famous domestic galleries and art lovers, will open on the 23rd at EXCO in Daegu.

According to EXCO on Monday, this event will be held for four days until June 26 under the slogan “June, I go art shopping.”

At the event, about 5,000 works by 500 important Korean and foreign artists will be presented, and about 100 representative galleries from across Korea, including the metropolitan area, will participate, introducing their representative works.

Among them, art lovers have been expecting the works of Ji Hyun-jeong, who was selected as one of the seven artists by the New York collectors and art museum directors, and Lee Ye-rin, who won the grand prize in the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) Artist Contest.

“This event will not only revitalize the art market, but will also provide a venue for presenting the future direction of the art market, which is emerging as a new investment destination for the MZ generation,” an Art Fair Daegu official said.
