SEOUL, Sep. 16 (Yonhap) -- Boy band NCT 127 has risen as the new dominance of the music market marking 2.12 million copies of pre-orders with their upcoming album.

The band’s 3rd regular album “Sticker” which is to be released on the 17th surpassed 2.12 million pre-orders yesterday, according to SM Entertainment Thursday.

The recent figure is the band’s highest record exceeding way over their previous album, “NCT #127 Neo Zone”’s record (about 530,000).

NCT 127, debuted in 2016, has been steadily growing renewing their first-week sales figures. Last year, the home-group NCT became a million seller for having sold 1.21 million copies in a week.

“Sticker,” following the streak, marked 1.32 million pre-orders in one day since its start of pre-order on Aug. 32 and has exceeded 2.12 million in less than a month.

As it a rare case for K-pop singer’s single album to exceed 2 million pre-orders except for BTS’s, NCT 127’s recent record is noteworthy.

The upcoming album consists of 11 songs including the hip-hop dance genre title track “Sticker,” “Lemonade,” “Focus,” “The Rainy Night” and “Dreamer.”

They will perform for the title song on the day of come-back in “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” America’s popular CBS Talk Show.
