SEOUL, Jan. 26(Yonhap) – JYP Entertainment has announced the name of its upcoming girl group, “NMIXX,” which will make a debut in February, 2022.

JYP released a video “[NMIXX] NICE TO MIXX YOU” through its official YouTube channel on Jan. 26 at midnight, officially announcing the group’s name and logo that were veiled.

“NMIXX” comes from combining the letter ‘N,’ meaning now, new, next and an unknown variable “n,” and “MIX,” symbolizing combinations and diversity, and the name refers to the “best combination who is in charge of the new generation.”

The 7-member girl group “NMIXX,” which is the first girl group introduced by JYP in about 3 years since ITZY, consists of Jinni, Ji-woo, Kyu-jin, Sull-yoon, Bae, Hae-won, and Lily.

JYP is known to name the artists' 4 headquarters "SQU4D,” which was established just for "NMIXX" to support the group’s debut.

The details about their debut project will be released sequentially through the official YouTube channel, which has been reorganized from "JYPn" to "NMIXX."
