SEOUL, May 11 (Yonhap) – K-pop 7-member boy group Ciipher, which made itself known to the public as the “children of singer Rain(Jeong Ji-hoon),” has made a comeback with more mature appearances.

Ciipher showed confidence at a media showcase held for the new album at a complex cultural space in Jung-gu, Seoul, on May 11, saying, "You may look forward to this album because all the members participated in writing and composing the songs during the 8-month hiatus."

The group’s third mini album "THE CODE" is an album that depicts the journey to a new world.

The album, which highlights the group's meaning of "Those with codes," contains six songs, including the title song "Fame," "Slam The Door," and "On A Highway."

Leader Hyun-bin emphasized, "The keyword of this album is to find our own color."

“Fame” is a dance song based on pop genre. It is a song with refreshing voice and rhythmic rap of the seven members, and members Keita and Won participated in writing the lyrics.

Won introduced the title song, "Fame is the first step to the worldview of Ciipher, which is set to pass through an endless maze and enter a new world."

Ciipher also participated in writing and composing all the songs of this album.

The members who challenged various genres, such as rock, jazz, and dance based on pop, were confident that they would be able to feel a little more mature through this album.

Hyun-bin said, "We have presented a familiar image by showing easy dance moves so far, but we prepared powerful performances this time to show that we are the 'children of Rain.’”

He also mentioned Ciipher’s own strengths, “We can drop our own songs as a self-produced idol group," adding, "We want to be honest with our own stories on the stage.”

Rain, the "father of Ciipher," attended the showcase and cheered for the group.

Rain watched the members behind the hall and took pictures during the stage for the title song.

Referring to KCM, the MC of the showcase, and Rain, Hyun-bin said, "The two give us so much support," adding, "In particular, CEO Jeong Ji-hoon always monitors and supports us to the fullest.”
