Companies rubbing out Kim Seon-ho from every ad to avoid damage from Kim's personal affair

SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- The distribution industry is rapidly cutting out actor Kim Seon-ho from their advertisements as the actor is currently caught up in a controversy over his past personal affair.

11STREET, which the actor has been modeling for, has put down all Kim-related posts from their official websites and social media pages, according to the industry Tuesday.

Nau, an outdoor clothing brand, are deleting every advertisement showing Kim from their website and social media accounts. Cosmetic brand, La Roche Posay, has hidden their promotional video.

Domino Pizza appointed entertainer Shin Dong-yeob and Kim as their models in February but now, only advertisements showing Shin are left on their official Instagram page.

Although the companies did not give out any official explanations of their deleting the ads, the industry sees this as a measure to avoid damage on their brand image due to the model’s controversy over personal matter.

A post titled “This reveals star actor K’s true face, a shameless hypocrite” was uploaded on an online community on the 17th claiming that the writer, who introduced herself as Kim’s ex-girlfriend, was coerced into abortion.

Although, the post did not mention an actual full name of actor K, netizens are guessing that it is Kim Seon-ho. The actor’s agency announced Tuesday that they are still identifying the facts.
