SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on Jan. 12 that they will unveil “Gwanghwa Won” and “Gwanghwa In” among the 8 contents of the “The Age of Light” or “Gwanghwa Sidae” at Metro Museum of Art located in Gyeongbokgung Station on Jan. 14 at 2 p.m.

Gwanghwa Won is a media art garden in the city, exhibiting 8 realistic media arts with 3 themes of light of life, light of communication, and light of eternity.

Implementing 5G, you can enjoy media art using videos and sounds of nature that change according to the real-time weather of Gyeongju and Han River in Seoul.

You can also find works of global media art group Universal Everything and German media artist Timo Helgert.

Gwanghwa In, an Artificial Intelligence(AI) information center, is a space that integrates deep learning-based AI technology. After synthesizing and shooting the images and voices of real people, they made them reborn as AI humans through deep learning.

The sample video taken with a three-dimensional(3D) 360-degree volumetric technique enables a special experience as if talking with real person in one space. At the cylindrical experience center, you can see the Cultural Heritage near Gwanghwamun, and information on nearby tourist attractions with an AI model in 4 languages (Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese).

K-pop boy group SHINee’s Min-ho participates as a Korean model for Artificial Intelligence human and Maria from TV Chosun’s “Miss Trot” joins as an English model.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency designed Gwanghwa Sidae to raise awareness of reality content and to promote Korea's outstanding technology and culture to the world by making Gwanghwamun, which has great historical symbolism, a center of content experience space.

They introduced Gwanghwa Pungryu, which is a 5G real-time streaming performance, for their first content on Dec. 17. Moreover, following Gwanghwa Won and Gwanghwa In, they plan to unveil Gwanghwa Su, Gwanghwa Gyeong, Gwanghwa Dam, and Gwanghwa Jeoncha on Feb. 4, and on Feb. 25, Gwanghwa Byeokhwa that is designed on the outer wall of National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will be revealed at last.

Gwanghwa Won and Gwanghwa In run all year round from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. since the opening.

In order to prevent COVID-19, only people who have completed vaccination or those who bring a PCR negative certificate can enter, and Gwanghwa Won limits the number of visitors to up to 10 while only 4 people can watch Gwanghwa In every 15 minutes.

Reservations of presales can be made on the Gwanghwa Sidae website (www.gwanghwasidae.kr) from Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.
