SEOUL, Jan. 26 (Yonhap) -- Group MAMAMOO’s agency RBW acquires DSP Media that raised groups Sechs Kies and Fin.K.L.

RBW announced that it would acquire a 39.13% stake in DSP Media from CEO Choi Mi-kyung for about 9 billion won, according to an electronic disclosure system, Dart.

RBW plans to acquire more than 51% of DSP Media's stake, incorporate it as a subsidiary, and plans to sign a SPA soon.

DSP Media currently includes KARD, MIRAE, and APRIL.

DSP Media is a successor of Daesung Planning, which produced popular idol groups such as Sechs Kies and Fin.K.L., Click-B, and Kara, and is known to have more than 1,000 currently available music sources that can be distributed.

RBW is planning to actively utilize music IP to promote new music IP businesses such as producing NFT goods.

“With this acquisition, new metaverse related businesses such as NFT, which use music IP, can be prepared while taking care of both size and speed,” said the CEO of RBW, Kim Jin-woo.
