SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Yonhap) -- TVXQ' Max Changmin comes back with his new 2nd mini-album “Devil,” showing a more mature look.

The singer dropped a new album after 1 year and 9 months, since his first mini-album “Chocolate,” released in April 2020.

Max Changmin revealed his comeback thoughts in an online press held on Jan. 13, “It is an honor to be the first runner of 2022 at SM.”

“I tried to show the deep charm of a mature man,” adding, “The overall concept is cool and sexy,” said the singer excitedly.

He also explained, "Rather than making up something, I think I could show you my various charms,” adding, “I can show you my constantly changing vocals, a chameleon side of me.”

The title song “Devil,” is a remake song of the Swedish artist and producer Alex Runo, and Max Changmin wrote the lyrics himself.

The track “Fever” was pre-released in SMTown’s New Year’s Eve Concert. The singer confessed he chose “Devil” as the title song over "Fever," after thinking about the two.

Max Changmin, who marks his 19 years from debut, shared what he wanted to accomplish through this album.

“I like watching England Premier League. I wonder how happy I’d be if my song comes out in the soccer relay trailer,” laughed the singer.

TVXQ’s U-know, who hosted the press, sent a message of support, saying, “Max Changmin’s blood, sweat, tears, and his thoughts are all in this album.”
