SEOUL, Sep. 23 (Yonhap) -- Stray Kids, one of the front-runners of the 4th gen idol singers, will buckle down to secure their Japanese fandom.

They will release their 2nd Japanese single on Oct. 13, according to their agency JYP Entertainment. The album puts forth double title-tracks; the album’s original track “Scars” and Japanese version of “Thunderous” which has recently been released in Korea.

Bang Chan, Changbin and Han of “3RACHA,” the band’s producer-group, have taken part in the production and lyrics.

Stray Kids opened a showcase in Japan in 2019, which was even before their official debut there, and attracted about 8,000 audiences.

Their Japanese debut album “SKZ2020,” released last year, ranked top for the most purchased K-pop albums in the first half of the year in Japan’s biggest record company Tower Records. Their first singe “TOP” literally topped the weekly single chart on Oricon as well.

The band is in their best golden days in Korea as well surpassing sales of 1.1 million copies with their 2nd regular “NOEASY,” dropped in August.
