SEOUL, June 24 (Yonhap) -- Yoon Doo-joon, South Korean actor and singer returned back on screen with much mature acting skills after 3 years since being discharged from the military.
After being done with drama “Never Giving Up” Yoon said “I was worried that through my period of absent, experiences I have cumulated while working on film and drama might have disappeared.” adding “That is why I think I was craving for advises from senior actors and directors.”
Throughout “Never Giving Up” Yoon acted out a character who over comes the generational gap with Kwak Do-won using their bromance.
A young businessman Jung-seok(Yoon starring) keeps on fighting against Goo Pil-soo(Kwak starring) while living in Loan shark Chun Man-guem’s house.
Yoon showed his appreciation towards Kwak by stating “Although the bromance should be leveled out evenly, Kwak Do-won lead the relationship bit more often”.
Moreover Yoon furthered the explanation of the drama by stating “Director told me that despite of Goo Pil-soo being on the title of the drama, it focuses more on the growth of Jung-seok.’ adding “I have matured along with Jung-seok through 7 months of filming ‘Never Giving Up.’”
Also he mentioned “I personally believe I have been lucky enough to get a spotlight relatively early in my career, now that I think about it, when I was young I probably lived like Jung-seok.”
Yoon debuted as a member of quintet boy group BEAST in 2009 and rose to fame with their album “SHOCK” which was released in March of 2010. “Shock” topped the chart of M countdown in 2010 which was only 5 months after their debut.
“As far as I can withhold both paths of being an actor and a singer I would like to be both.” adding “I would rather try my best and go through hardships in life pursuing both path of the career I love, rather than not try and not know what might have happened.” Yoon firmly replied with a gentle chuckle.
