SEOUL, June 21 (Yonhap) -- JTBC's Saturday drama "Nevertheless," starring rising stars Han So-hee and Song Kang, started with a viewer rating of 2%.

The first episode of "Nevertheless," which aired at 11 p.m. on the 19th, recorded 2.207%, according to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research company, on Sunday.

In the first episode, Park Jae-eon (played by Song Kang), who is a charming man, appears in front of Yunabi (played by Han So-hee), a college student who just ended an empty relationship, and began a risky romance.

Based on a webtoon with the same title, the drama drew attention as it was classified as teenager restricted for the first episode and since the leading roles were played by attractive stars.

However there were some limitations to the drama, which affected the overall viewer ratings. Although the drama was aired during the weekend, the broadcasting time was set too late, and the role of the main cast was still unfamiliar. In addition, the lack of acting skills portrayed in some scenes seemed to be the contributing factors to the relatively low viewership.

Among the weekend dramas, KBS 2TV's "Revolutionary Sisters" recorded 23.4%-28.6%; tvN's "Mine" recorded 8.8%; MBN's "Bossam: Steal the Fate" recorded 6.1%-8.8%, TV Chosun's "Love ft. Marriage & Divorce" season 2 recorded 5.41%-6.09% and tvN's "Voice" recorded 3.2%.
