SEOUL, June 16 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), which previously ranked No. 5 in the U.S. Billboard main album chart with its latest studio album, also topped the Oricon chart in Japan.

TXT's second full-length album "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" topped the charts with a record of 76,806 album sales during June 7-13. This marks TXT's fourth album to top the Oricon weekly album charts.

The five-piece-act's second mini-album "Dream Chapter: Eternity," third mini-album "Minisode 1: Blue Hour," first full-length Japanese album "Still Dreaming," and the second full-length album "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" topped the charts.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER is the fourth foreign artist to top the Oricon weekly chart after Mariah Carey, Twice, and Seventeen. Three of the four artists listed are K-pop groups.

TXT's albums were also popular on other music charts in Japan. The title track for TXT's second mini-album "0X1=LOVESONG" sat atop Line Music's weekly top song chart.

It is three years since TXT debuted as K-pop idols and are considered as the next-generation group that will stand out in the U.S. and Japan whilst leading the popularity as a K-pop group.

TXT's new album reached its highest ranking ever by entering the Billboard's main album chart, "Billboard 200" as fifth place. It topped the Billboard "Top Album Sales" chart, which is based on actual album sales.
