SEOUL, May 14 (Yonhap) -- Sandara Park, a former member of K-pop girl group 2NE1, will leave YG Entertainment, an agency she has been with for 17 years.

YG said on the 14th that its exclusive contract with Sandara Park has expired. "We are truly grateful for Sandara who has been working with us."

"We will always support Sandara Park's challenge and continue to help her until she is ready for a new start," he added.

All 2NE1 members have left YG Entertainment.

After the team disbanded in 2016, Park Bom and Minzy signed a new agency, and CL also left YG in 2019 to start her solo career.

2NE1 recently said that Park Bom appeared on a radio program and finished recording with the members, sparking rumors of a reunion.

Sandara Park, who has lived in the Philippines since her childhood, made her debut in the music industry in 2004 as a runner-up in a local celebrity selection program.

She enjoyed tremendous popularity in the Philippines and moved to Korea that year to sign a contract with YG and made her debut as a member of 2NE1 in 2009, five years later. The team has been reborn as the strongest music source in Korea and has expanded its fandom in North America and other countries.

After the breakup of the team, she appeared in musicals and acted as an actress, as well as in entertainment programs.
